Outrigger Experience has been founded by 4 enthusiastic outriggers from the Okanagan valley located in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
We started paddling in an OC 6 Outrigger canoe about five year ago and got more and more excited about it every time we went for a paddle. Although we are not “hardcore” we enjoy racing and always try our best to improve our selves. As of last year we are paddling more and more in the OC1 and OC2 but always try to get an OC 6 out at least twice a week.
We have met with a lot of paddlers the last few years and noticed many would like to get out and paddle in the wintertime . A good spot to go too is Hawaii. With direct flight from Calgary, Vancouver and Bellingham, you can’t go wrong. We are offering two kinds of paddling experiences. The first one is for those paddlers who would like to experience paddling the ocean but do not necessarily want to join a paddling camp or clinic. Although improving your paddling technique is a given, you will also have time to explore the islands and do other fun stuff together with your local guide/coach. (See sample itinerary)
We also offer outrigger clinics for individuals, clubs and corporations . If your club want to train for certain races or events or just want to improve your overall paddling skills while enjoying the beautiful weather on the Islands, please contact us
Two of the founders have a strong background in tourism and it is with great pride we are now offering true and authentic Outrigger Experiences in Oahu and Tahiti. We will have a Maui Outrigger experience shortly.
Next to specific outrigger experiences we also offer short breaks in Canada at reduced rates for CORA members.
